Parents and Carers Workshops
These workshops are available to parents/carers of members, and members who are parents/carers.
What is a Workshop?
A workshop is a meeting at which a group of people engage in discussion and activities on a particular topic.
Here at Matthew’s Hub we believe in fostering communication in families.
Our workshops are not parent training, they are a place for parents to come together, share experiences, develop new skills and build stronger connections within their families.
Empowering Inclusive Listening Workshop

- Reduce miscommunication and better under their child’s perspective
Parents Transition Awareness Workshop
This workshop is designed to help parents and carers:
- Better understand what your child might struggle with as they transition from one stage of their life to the next
- Better understand micro and macro transitions in everyday life and how to support your child
- Help each other see what challenges face your child as they leave school and enter college/work/university
- See how your child advances to adulthood from their perspective
- Encourage and advise how best to help your child move to the next stage of their life
- Contextualise the stress that neurodivergent children have moving from one thing to the next, and think of ways we can best support them
