Thursday 3rd September

10:00am - 11:30am

Autism Post Diagnosis Workshops

The aim of the online workshops is to learn some more about Autism and discuss your own experiences - through information, discussions and sharing stories and meeting others in a similar situation.

Over the 4 weeks we aim to look at the following:.

  • What is Autism - we discuss what Autism is, traits associated, and bust some of the common myths and misconceptions.
  • Understanding your report and managing emotions following a diagnosis
  • Understanding yourself and your traits
  • Life with Autism – looking beyond the criteria and how Autism can affect everyday living
  • Specific topics such as sensory, stimming and masking

The sessions are done on Zoom and there is no pressure to have your video or microphone on through the groups. You can contribute as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, the chat function is also available if you would feel more comfortable typing than talking too. If joining a group makes you anxious you can always join us but just listen, a little bit like listening to a podcast.

The workshops take place over 4 x Thursday mornings:

  • 3rd September
  • 10th September
  • 17th September
  • 24th September
