Parents and Carers: Neuro-inclusive Listening
Parents and carers know their child best. These sessions help you to reframe what you already know. We’ll support you to understand communication barriers, nurture trust, and strengthen your connection with your neurodivergent child.
Course Format
This in-person workshops takes place over 4 Thursday mornings at our base in Hull
Who can attend?
This workshop is ONLY open to parents/carers of young people referred to us by the Neurodiversity Front Door Service (NHS Humber)
Subjects we will cover
- Barriers to communication
- Communication styles
- How sensory can play a part within listening and communication
- How energy can play a part within listening and communication
- How emotions can play a part within listening and communication
- Tools and strategies

Parking
If you are travelling to us by car, we recommend using on-street parking nearby. Spaces in our car park are limited as we share this with another charity and local residents.
Attendance and Cancellation
We understand that sometimes things come up which mean you may have to miss one of the sessions. However, if you find you would like to cancel your place for all 4 sessions, we request a full week's notice if possible. This will allow us time to allocate the space to another parent on the waiting list.
